At every visit our Optometrists will be taking a look at the health of your eyes. We have many ways of doing this including:-

• The unique Optomap® Retinal Examination. This allows our Optometrists to capture an image of the inside of your eyes in a few seconds. This latest laser technology creates an image that is as individual as your fingerprints.
  
  It does not require drops to be put in your eyes, can be reviewed immediately and stored for comparison during your next visit, when another optomap image will be taken. This will enable any subtle changes to be detected.
  
  Optomap is quick, painless and suitable for everyone; ask about it the next time you visit our practice.

•  The Humphrey Visual Field Analyser allows us to accurately assess the peripheral field of vision. This may have missing patches due to glaucoma, stroke or other neurological factors.

• Eyesis Corneal Topographer gives us a very precise measurement of the curvature of the very front of the eye. This is essential for accurate contact lens fitting and can reveal corneal abnormalities such as Keratoconnus.

• Video Slit Lamp. This gives still and moving images of the front and the inside of the eye. We can show you the fit of your contact lenses, check & record microscopic changes to the cornea & look in detail at your eyelashes and tear film.
